Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 10, 2026
By creating an account or using Vanilla, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
The service
Vanilla helps people plan and coordinate in-person hangouts with friends. You can propose a hangout, invite people, and see who's joining.
Your account
You need a valid phone number or email address to create an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for anything that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
Don't use Vanilla to harass anyone, send unwanted invitations at scale, impersonate someone else, or invite people who haven't agreed to be contacted by you. We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the service.
SMS invitations
When you invite someone who isn't on Vanilla yet, we send them a single text message on your behalf containing your name and a link to join. By using this feature, you confirm you have permission to text the number you're inviting. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is limited to invitations you send. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out of further messages, or HELP for help.
Content you share
You keep ownership of what you post — hangout details, notes, and messages. By posting it, you give us permission to store and display it to the people you're sharing it with, so the app can work.
No warranty
Vanilla is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
